Frequently asked questions
Do I need crypto experience to use Coinstancy?
The platform is designed to be as simple as possible. You create your account, deposit funds, and select the strategy you want.
Who holds my Savings funds?
Your USDC first enters a secure multisignature wallet operated by Coinstancy before being deployed into the selected on-chain strategies.
Can I withdraw my funds at any time?
You can request a withdrawal at any time. Complete requests are normally settled within 48 calendar hours; final network confirmation may take longer.
Are returns guaranteed?
No. The APY shown is the fixed rate currently in force. It may be revised as market conditions evolve; a new rate applies to existing balances as well as new deposits. Crypto Basket returns fluctuate with market conditions.
What are the risks?
The main risks are stablecoin risk (USDC can lose its peg to the US dollar), protocol risk (bugs, exploits or governance incidents on the on-chain protocols used), liquidity risk (withdrawals can be delayed in stressed markets) and network risk (blockchain congestion or outages). Crypto Baskets are also exposed to market risk. Coinstancy may arrange additional cover for selected protocol exposures. When a policy is active, it can address eligible incidents within its stated terms, limits and dates. How protocol coverage works
Who covers the costs when portfolios are rebalanced?
Rebalancing costs are included in the platform's operations.
